Alan’s first model aircraft was a Keil Kraft Pioneer free flight glider in 1969 followed by the Conquest glider and rubber powered Gypsy.
Control line models were next and then a break until 1986 when Alan moved to work in Ipswich.
Alan enjoys flying aerobatics, favourite model being the Chris Foss Acrowot.
Other types of models currently flown are electric gliders, slope soarers, helicopters and indoor models.
As a RADMAC member since 2001, Alan has seen the club facilities expand from the grass strip behind the club house to the large flying site we now enjoy.
